
The first tip that you definitely should follow  is to drink 8 glasses of water everyday. This advice is quite obvious  and recommended by many nutritionists, but the reason I decided to  recommend it here is a little bit different. If you drink eight glasses  of water each it will help you to feel less hungry. Although there is  still no scientific proof for this, when I am at work, I drink 4 cups in  the morning and 4 cups in the evening. On the days that I do not drink  that much water I tend to feel more hungry. What is more, when you don’t  drink enough water you will feel sleepy much sooner. Do not be afraid  and try to drink 8 glasses of water each day. Try doing what I do: I  have a pint glass I keep at work, it contains sixteen ounces (as all  pint glasses do) of water. Everything you must do is drink two pints of  water in the morning and two in the afternoon.
Another important thing you should do is to make your diet public.  Simply tell people that you are on a diet. By no means should you be  ashamed to be on a diet. I discovered that an attempt to keep my diet a  secret was much more difficult than just telling people. As a matter of  fact, telling your colleagues, girlfriend, family, etc. will increase  your accountability. I became motivated by being aware that my coworkers  and family knew that I was dieting because I did not want to fail. I  also picked a typical “fat picture” and placed it on my fridge, in my  cubicle, and on my wall. I wanted it to be a constant reminder to lose  the weight. I know it is a cliche, but it was crucial for me to remind  myself of my ultimate goal.
